Simple and familiar Portland dining in 2010

Trying every new restaurant in town is not an actual requirement for a local food writer, but it sure helps. So I’m out to dinner nearly every night and sometimes try new places at lunchtime, too. All The Chocolates Spots You Need To Know About

Sarah Hart has brought back last year’s anatomically correct chocolate heart ($18), along with various flaming, tattoo-styled or bird-adorned heart icons. The shop is also cranking out heart-shaped dark and milk chocolates, plain or filled with hazelnut praline, and a heart-and-love-bird lollipop ($4). But what we’re really looking forward …Read the Rest

Meat Cheese Bread – SE Portland

I’m the latest convert to the ways of MeatCheeseBread. I think the sandwiches are really well-balanced flavorwise, offering big flavors without being overly rich.
