Smokin’ Jim’s Bar-B-Que

Smokin Jim’s is some good finger licking bbq. This is a mobile trailor but he is set up in this parking lot most everyday from noon to 7pm. Brisket sandwich was tasty with a lot of meat and comes with a side, either beans, cole slaw or potato salad for $6.95. The pulled pork was good also but preferred the brisket and that sandwich was only $5.95. Jim himself says the true prize of this spot are the ribs. I did not try them but I am going back this week to pick some up. Bbq sauce is good, little …Read the Rest

Leroy’s Familiar Vittles

Portland is a foodie town.  A foodie town seemingly devoid of the amazing, melt-in-your-mouth barbecue that one finds in Texas or Mississippi.  At least this was my personal wisdom – until fellow Yelpers showed me the light and I made the pilgrimage out to Leroy’s Familiar Vittles.
